Delavnici z Amel Tafsout namenjeni celjenju, raziskovanju ter poglabljanju razumevanja kulturnega izročila in njegovega ozadja s pristno mojstrico plesa iz Alžirije.

Andaluzijski dvorni ples s šali: Andaluzijski mestni plesi v Magrebu (Severna Afrika) izvirajo iz arabsko-andaluzijskih tradicij bogatih in spoštovanih družin v starodavnih mestih, kot so Fes, Rabat, Meknes, Tetouan, Tlemcen, Konstantin, Alžir, Tunis, Sousse … vsebujejo tudi turški element, zlasti v Tuniziji in Alžiriji. Nastopajo jih samo ženske na različnih svečanostih. Med delavnico se bo Amel Tafsout osredotočila na različne tehnike plesa s šali.

Sveto SUFI celjenje: Amel, ki je bila vzgojena v Alžiriji, je odraščala s tradicionalnimi pristopi k celjenju oz. zdravilnimi praksami svoje rodne države. Skozi raziskave plesne antropologije in sufijske duhovne tradicije, združuje Amel tradicionalno zdravljenje s svetim plesom. Z dolgoletnim usposabljanjem na različnih področjih zdravilnih praks, svojim poznavanjem glasbe ter plesa in ker izhaja iz rodu duhovne sufijske tradicije, je razvila lastno delavnico svetega plesa. Svoje tradicionalno ozadje združuje z izkušnjami učenja zvočnega zdravljenja in zikr, dihalnega dela, vrtenja in zamaknjenosti/ transa. Delavnica vključuje delo s telesom in dihom, zvočno celjenje in napeve (Zikr), kar vodi v vrtenje in konča z Zar-Hadro, starodavno ceremonijo zdravljenja na Bližnjem vzhodu in v Afriki. Njeno raziskovanje plesne antropologije se osredotoča na kulturno umetnost in ritual, izražen v plesu, kot tudi na zdravilno obliko. Prosimo, nosite udobna oblačila, po možnosti bela in na delavnico prinesite majhno odejo in dolg šal.

Amel Tafsout

Amel Tafsout (pomeni "Upanje pomladi") je karizmatična mednarodna izvorna plesalka in mojstrska plesna umetnica severnoafriškega Magreba, ki je očarala občinstva na Bližnjem vzhodu, v severni Afriki, pa tudi v Evropi, Novi Zelandiji, ZDA in Latinski Ameriki. Tafsout je priznana koreografinja, inštruktorica in performer severnoafriškega Magrebskega plesa kot tudi pesnica, pripovedovalka, pevka, sociologinja in plesna antropologinja.

Svoje življenje je posvetila predstavljanju svoje plesne kulture, kot tudi zgraditi most med Vzhodom in Zahodom, ustvarjanju dialoga komunikacije in razumevanja pri tkanju lepote in moči žensk v različnih kulturah.

Amel je zelo ponosna na svojo dediščino in se zavzema za ohranjanje svoje plesne tradicije, hkrati pa vključuje lastno plesno izkušnjo in duhovni razvoj.

ANDALUSIAN COURT DANCE WITH SCARVES: Andalusian city dances in the Maghreb (North Africa) originate from Arab-Andalusian traditions of well respected families in ancient cities, Such as Fes, Rabat, Meknes, Tetouan, Tlemcen, Constantine, Algiers, Tunis, Sousse…also have a Turkish element especially in Tunisia and Algeria. Women only at various festivities perform them. During the workshop, Amel Tafsout will focus on the various techniques of dancing with scarves and how to keep the rhythm while improvising. (Please bring two scarves for the workshops).

SACRED SUFI HEALING: Raised in Algeria, Amel grew up with traditional healing practices of her native country. With research in dance anthropology and coming from a Sufi spiritual tradition, Amel combines traditional healing with sacred dance. With a long training in various healing practices, her knowledge in music and dance and coming from a lineage of a spiritual Sufi tradition, Tafsout developed her own workshop in sacred dance. She combines her traditional healing background with her learning experience in Sound healing and Zikr, breath work, whirling and trance. The workshop includes body and breath work, sound healing and chanting (Zikr), leading to whirling and ending with Zar-Hadra, an ancient healing ceremony in the Middle East and Africa. Her research in dance anthropology focuses on a culture’s art and ritual expressed in dance as well as a healing form. Please wear comfortable clothing, preferably white and bring a small blanket and a long shawl for the workshop.

Amel Tafsout (means ‘Hope of Spring’) is a charismatic international first source master dance artist of North African Maghreb dance and has mesmerized audiences in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Europe, New Zealand, U.S.A. and Latin America. Tafsout is an acclaimed choreographer, instructor and performer of North African Maghreb Dance as well as a poet, a storyteller, a singer, a socio-linguist and a dance anthropologist.

She has dedicated her life not only to make her dance culture known and but also to build a bridge between the East and the West in order to create a dialogue of communication and understanding in weaving the beauty and strength of the woman in various cultures.

Amel is very proud of her heritage and she is committed in preserving her dance tradition while incorporating her own dance experience and spiritual development.
